1:1 iPad Deployment

iPad deployment can vary hugely by scale and financial model. For decades MCC Digital have supported schools of all sizes with their journey to creating inclusive and innovative 1:1 schemes.

We create bespoke plans for each of our 1:1 schools, ensuring that the learning outcomes and experiences come first. Long term vision and strategy sessions, led by our Apple Education Team make up a large part of delivering a successful scheme.

Making a smart investment is also key to creating a sustainably financed 1:1 model. Schools have peace of mind that devices won't become outdated, that their impact on the environment is being considered and reduced and amongst other things, their pupils will be using industry leading technology for years to come.

Vision and Strategy

Defining your vision for success.

An iPad 1:1 scheme is not the source of success but a catalyst for it, it relies on a strong vision from school leadership and commitment from the school community. We will work closely with your school from the conception of your 1:1 plan, all the way through to deployment. Maintaining your vision for success is key to the delivery and success of your scheme. We also support schools who have already started their journey but may have obstacles they cannot overcome alone. Again, a strong vision paired with support from the MCC Digital Education Team can reaffirm your goals of deploying a 1:1 iPad scheme.

Smart Investment

The full equation

Education leaders have many things to consider when they’re making technology decisions, such as current systems, processes and budget. Looking at the full equation allows them to make a smart investment for students, teachers, IT and the entire school community.

Time saved

Time spent versus time saved is an important part of the equation because the right technology choice can save IT teams, teachers and students time.

Energy costs saved

With Apple devices, schools and local authorities can save on monthly energy bills because they consume less energy than other devices in the classroom.

Environmental impact

Choosing Apple means choosing to protect the planet for future generation. Leaders can rest assured that they’re playing a part in supporting sustainability because Apple has been carbon-neutral since 2020.

Life cycle costs

With Apple, life cycle costs don’t add to the equation – they’re actually shown to reduce costs because they’re built to last and have high residual value.

Finance and Parental Contribution

Bespoke solutions

Education leaders have a number of options available to them when financing a 1:1 iPad scheme. Some schools will have funding methods to cover the total amount for a deployment. Others will instead see value in spreading their invesment through a lease agreement and some schools will utilise parental contribution to ensure the best possible learning environment for their children.

Sustainable Finance

Schools have incredible leasing options available to them in order to breakdown their investment into more manageable and more sustainable monthly, quarterly or annual payments. This is often a way for schools to bring their purchasing plans forward and accelerate the process of becoming 1:1, as they don't have to wait 2-3 years for students to have access to devices.

Parental Contribution

Parental contribution schemes are chosen by schools to help fund the 1:1 deployments. This often means parents will pay a portion or the whole cost of an iPad for use at school and at home. This gives each child independence whilst learning and enables them to take the device home each day. MCC Digital, in collaboration with the school, provide support for parents and guardians to understand this option.

Teacher Training

All 1:1 iPad Schemes need to be reinforced with Apple Professional Learning (APL) and CPD. We offer a range of 'Tracks' for schools to enrol on, but we suggest starting with our Innovate with Apple Track. This CPD Track has been designed to ensure your school is aware of all those great features, apps and free resources provided to you, simply because you chose Apple.

Over a 10 week course, MCC Digital alongside a chosen APLS (Apple Professional Learning Specialist) will cover the full range of possibilities with Apple, and cover the 5 areas of an successful CPD plan.

1. Leadership

3. Curriculum Support

5. APLS Review

2. Teaching
