The Internet. It’s an enormous, amazing platform. As of 2021, statistics show that there are over 4.9 billion active users. We all hold a place here, you are reading this article via the internet right now, and we all acknowledge how wonderful the web is. However, do you really know the ins and outs of the internet? And are you and your business safe?
Since the COVID pandemic hit in 2020, all types of businesses were affected. From huge global names to small scale businesses, the pandemic resulted in a 600% rise of Cybercrimes. This is due to the uncertainty around remote working and how to protect your personal and business accounts.

Any company that holds customers’ data should be 100% secure, as their privacy and trust is being put into your hands. How cyber aware are the people working within your team? According to Cybint, a whopping 95% of cyber security breaches are due to human error, staff not being properly trained to deal with these incidents. If these mistakes are made then a cyber breach is inevitable, which not only leads to lost trust but a large fine. In fact, the maximum fine for a cyber breach is £17.5 million or 4% of the annual global turnover.
How much value do you put into your own data? Think about this question, and then the fact that someone is trusting you and your company to protect their data. It is scary, and very real, but Mitigate can help you!
