Inside the event: The Green Expo Youth Conference

Led by the young leaders of ChesterYouthCAN (Chester Youth Climate Action Network) and hosted by the University of Chester, the Green Expo Youth Conference was based on discussion, debate and collective problem-solving. MCC Digital, represented by Richard Child, attended the event to inspire the leaders of tomorrow.

The Green Expo Youth Conference is an event to discuss how we can tackle the climate and nature emergencies whilst also exploring the decarbonisation challenge. The conference is for young students across the region to attend and find out what type of careers there are within sustainable technology.

Richard Child, Head of Education at MCC Digital, was a guest speaker at the event, inspiring and enabling young people who want to play a key part in that transition. Richard spoke to the students about careers within IT and highlighted the positive impact technology solutions can have on the environment. The education team at MCC work hard to provide sustainable solutions for schools, allowing students and teachers to have access to technology whilst simultaneously reducing paper usage, e-waste and carbon emissions.
