"It really was one of the best CPD events I have attended, in many years of teaching."
On Tuesday, we hosted our STEM Workshop at the Jaguar Land Rover factory in Halewood. It was such an amazing experience, and we were really happy to see so many faces there. What a fabulous turn out there was!
Our Education Leader, Richard Child, started the day off with an informative talk about coding on the iPad. He introduced all of the fabulous ways that Apple can be included in the classroom. Shortly after, we were lucky enough to take a tour of the factory and see robotic manufacturing in action, and how it works. This was, most definitely, the highlight of everyone's day! We weren't permitted to take photos of
the inside of the factory for health and safety reasons, but we can assure you it was amazing!
Here's Richard introducing some free Apple resources, that guests would find extremely useful. We were also joined by our friends at Kaligo who told the story behind their company, and provided guests with inspiration to take back to the classroom.
To top off an exciting day, we were lucky enough to see the same Land Rover that was used in the newest Bond film - No Time To Die. Impressive right?!
We had such an amazing time at our STEM workshop, and we're so glad all of our guests enjoyed it too!
A big thank you to Jaguar Land Rover for allowing us to make this possible.
Missed it? Don't worry! Plenty more events, hosted by MCC, will be coming soon.
Our next workshop will be held on the 24th November, with another following on the 25th November (the day after). You can find out more on our website and book your free place(s). Spaces are limited, so be quick!
DISCLAIMER: This was a COVID-19 safe event. All guests were required to take a lateral flow test 48 hours prior to the event. Social distancing was practiced all throughout the day.
